In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kabaki has proudly partnered with The Pink Fund, a non-profit dedicated to providing financial help to those battling the disease.
The Pink Fund provides 90-day non-medical cost-of-living expenses to those that are currently undergoing active treatment so they can focus on healing, work, and their families.
The Pink Fund hosts an annual signature charity event called “Dancing with the Survivors” every October in the metropolitan Detroit area. Survivors from the area are paired with professional dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Bloomfield Hills and West Bloomfield. Each dance pair performs a ballroom style dance routine while raising money to benefit The Pink Fund’s mission. The event is accompanied by raffle baskets, dinner and dessert while enjoying the performances.
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast cancer in their lives. Due to the high cost of medical expenses for treatment, many will experience financial instability. Additionally, data suggests that 20-30% of women will lose their jobs after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Furthermore, 35% of women do not have any money in their savings account. Along with the stress of battling cancer, financial stress is another burden that does not make healing any easier. We proudly support The Pink Fund who is dedicated to providing support for the lives of many.
