"How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!"
- Maya Angelou
Memorial Day was originally named Decoration Day until it was renamed and became an official holiday in 1971. It also marks the unofficial start of summer! Traditionally, memorial day has been observed by visiting memorials, cemeteries, holding gatherings, and participating in community events. This year, memorial day may look a little different but the meaning is still there! Grab your friends and family for a virtual memorial day celebration and let's toast to the amazing women and men who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military.
Celebrate our heroes this memorial day and kick off the summer with our recipe for a Pomegranate, Ginger, & Raspberry Purple Tea Cocktail. Thank you @annie_siegfried, nutritionist and health advocate, for this delicious and refreshing cocktail treat!
